The Career Combine was built to fix that. Not adapted from a general career platform — built from scratch, specifically for people who have spent years competing, training, and performing under pressure.

Privacy Policy

What We Collect

The Career Combine collects information you voluntarily provide during the career assessment — including your name, sport, academic interests, career goals, and values. This information is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to external servers except when used to generate personalized AI analysis through Anthropic's Claude API.

If you sign up for updates, we collect your name, email address, and sport. This information is used solely to send you product updates and career resources. We do not sell your data.

How We Use Your Data

Your assessment responses are used to: (1) generate personalized career matches using our scoring algorithm, (2) power your AI career coach with context about your background and goals, and (3) personalize your weekly action tasks and roadmap recommendations.

When you interact with the Game Plan AI coach, your messages and profile context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API data.

Data Storage

Your profile data is stored in your browser's localStorage. This means your data stays on your device. Clearing your browser data will remove your profile. We do not maintain a server-side database of user profiles at this time.

Cookies & Tracking

The Career Combine does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. We may use basic analytics to understand how the platform is used in aggregate.

Your Rights

You can delete your data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. To request deletion of any email signup data, contact us at contact@thecareercombine.com.

The Platform is not a licensed career counseling service, and nothing on this Platform constitutes professional career advice, legal advice, or financial advice. All content is provided for informational purposes.

Career outcomes depend on individual effort, market conditions, and many factors outside the Platform's control. We make no guarantees about employment outcomes, salary, or career success.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide during the assessment. You agree to use the Platform for lawful purposes only and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to compromise the Platform's security or functionality.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including career roadmaps, assessment questions, scoring logic, and design — is the intellectual property of The Career Combine. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without explicit written permission.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Platform uses AI to generate personalized career matches and coaching responses. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always verify important career decisions with qualified professionals. The Career Combine is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Career Combine and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to career or employment decisions made based on Platform content.

7. Beta Disclaimer

The Platform is currently in beta. Features may change, be removed, or be temporarily unavailable. We are actively improving the product and appreciate your feedback.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
